Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) is a medical imaging modality which does not use any X-Ray or other ionizing radiation. Being a safe, user friendly and fast tomographic imaging modality EIT has been used for clinical and medical diagnostics. EIT has also been imaging for lung imaging. The Respiratory disease like COVID-19, or pneumonia may severely damage the lung tissue and/or the other parts of the respiratory system. The tomographic imaging has always been a potential diagnostic tool for studying the pulmonary diseases. As the EIT use an electrode belt which could be found as disposable the contamination from COVID-19 patients can be avoided. In this direction, EIT could be found as an alternative for X-Ray CT for pulmonary imaging in tomographic mode. In this paper, the designing and development procedure of an electrode switching module (ESM) for a 32-electrode electrical impedance tomography (EIT) for lung tissue imaging system have been studied. CD4067BE multiplexers are combined to develop 32:1 MUX in DIP form. The ESM assembly is developed with four 32:1 MUXs which could be used for current injection and voltage measurement for EIT data acquisition.
