摘要

The complex design problems constitute numerous design variables and several constraints. Car Side Impact design (CSID) Problem is an optimization problem that aims to ensure a vehicle’s crash-worthiness during the side impact by ensuring international safety standards. In the proposed work, a novel version of the Genetic Algorithm (GA) named Batch Genetic Algorithm (BGA) minimizes a car’s weight by ensuring crash-worthiness. This problem constitutes 11 impact factors and 10 constraints. The results obtained are compared with 12 metaheuristic algorithms ensuring the superiority of the proposed approach.
