On the Two-Dimensional Parity-Check Method

The 2-dimensional parity-check method (vertical and longitudinal redundancy check) is a simple method of detecting errors in data transmission. We present some groundworks for the mathematical analyses of the reliability and error bursts in the vertical and longitudinal redundancy parity-check setting.
