摘要

Nanoparticle-based strategies display significant potential to protect therapeutic agents from untimely degradations, and enable their intracellular uptakes in addition to provoking sustained invulnerability against various maladies. Nanoparticles could be regarded as quantum dots, inorganic, organic, and carbon-based nanoparticles having the ability to stimulate effective immunity against pathogens and tumors. These nanoparticles offer an exceptional opportunity to develop immunotherapeutic approaches to treat cancer, ranging from adjuvant/antigen delivery nanocarriers (to specialized antigen-presenting cell (APC) for system regarding immunity) for directing tumor antigen-specific T-lymphocyte-targeting complexes as well as their blends. This chapter would emphasize on the interaction of dissimilar nanoparticles (inorganic, organic, quantum dots, as well as carbon-based nanoparticles) along with constituents of the immunity system against tumors in addition to infectious diseases.
