Review of Tidal Energy Technologies for Improved Tapping of Tidal Power Worldwide

The worry that rising carbon emissions will cause global warming has prompted society to consider and choose environmentally friendly, sustainable, and clean energy sources. The researchers were inspired by this idea to focus on creating novel approaches for renewable-based technologies. Utilizing hydroelectric energy is currently thought to be one of the workable ways to reduce the likelihood of a future electric power shortage. Ocean power is a more promising, non-depleting, and dependable resource than any other as it is the single greatest solar energy collector. Utilizing the appropriate technologies, ocean power, like thermal, wave, and tidal energy can be harnessed. Because tidal energy is pure and most predictable, it is special and appropriate to employ as a source of power. Hence One of the better options that is tide power, is the subject of this essay. Tidal range technology, tidal current or tidal stream technology, and hybrid use cases for tidal range and tidal current technologies are the three types of tidal energy technologies. This study examines the tidal energy harvesting systems and the plants that have been installed worldwide. Given the shortcomings of the technology currently in use for tidal power harvesting, an inventive method is suggested in order to fully utilize the potential of tidal energy, also focusing on low tide ranges that are accessible worldwide.
