Development implies creating conditions in a given society for wholesome living of its members. Education amenities are key components of social development and it is directly related with transportation facilities. Present paper is an effort to trace the correlation between transportation and education of tribal sub plan area of southern Rajasthan. Statistical methods have been used to analyse the effect of transportation on education, for this final out Regressions residual of transportation on education. The standard error of estimate is used in classifying the residuals in different categories. Assuming the distribution of residuals as normal and using the properties of the normal distribution, residuals divided in to positive and negative categories accordingly. The plot these residuals over the map to correlate the influence. An explanation for the spatial distribution of positive and negative residual from regression of transportation on education. Thus the study reveals it is the requirement of time to develop the transportation web in tribal sub plan area of southern Rajasthan so the area can be developed.
