This chapter presented the 4E analysis of integrated energy systems, along with a generalized description and characteristics of energy and exergy. From the perspective of energy essence, the integrated energy systems were thoroughly studied, and the change laws of energy and exergy in the energy transfer unit was discussed. Furthermore, based on the change laws of energy and exergy, the dynamic evolution mechanism of exergy in specific forms was analyzed in detail.
