Model Reduction for Commensurate Fractional-Order Systems Based on Improved BB-BC Algorithm

This article proposes a model order reduction method for commensurate fractional-order systems based on an improved BB-BC algorithm. Firstly, transform the original fractional-order system into an integer order system. Then, the corresponding integer order system is obtained through the improved BB-BC algorithm. Finally, the reduced integer order system is transformed into its fractional-order form through inverse substitution. The effectiveness of this method is verified through a high-order numerical example. The integral squared error (ISE) is selected as the fitness function in the article, and the time-domain and frequency-domain response characteristics as well as ISE performance indicators are compared with existing technologies in the literature.
