Single Functional Ventricle

This chapter deals with the congenital defects with single ventricle physiology. The definition of various terminologies associated with this pathology is clarified at the beginning. The major defects covered are univentricular AV connections and hypoplastic left heart syndrome. The latter part of the chapter is dedicated to Fontan physiology and the evaluation of the Fontan circuit.
