Prehospital Care for Stroke
摘要
This is often the most neglected part of the stroke pathway but one that managed effectively has some of the greatest potential to enable effective treatment. Successful acute stroke care requires that treatment is started very early. Whether it is intravenous thrombolysis, endovascular thrombectomy, reversal of anticoagulation or control of high blood pressure in a patient with a hemorrhage or getting them to a stroke unit for high quality medical and nursing care, all are more effective when done soon after the stroke.
