Interactive Genetic Algorithm in Indoor Layout Automation Design System

However, the generation algorithm based on the traditional indoor layout automation design system is only limited to fixed design rules and constraints, which shows obvious shortcomings in the lack of innovation of the layout and the lack of personality. It cannot take into account the various needs and personal preferences of users, and of course, it cannot be for the provision of personalized layout by the corresponding user group. Research purpose: This research is designed to investigate the application of interactive genetic algorithm in indoor layout automation design system. First, this study analyzes the background and challenges of indoor layout automation design, mainly in space utilization, design efficiency and user satisfaction. Then it introduces the basic working principle and realization method of interactive genetic algorithm. Through the input and feedback of the designer, the algorithm guides the search process of the genetic algorithm to generate a layout plan that meets the design goals. The experimental results show that the space utilization rate of this method is between 94 and 97%, and the interactive genetic algorithm can generate a layout plan with a high space utilization rate to maximize the use of indoor space. At the same time, the lower system uptime improves design efficiency and user experience.
