The Music Education and Moral Education Policy in China

This chapter explores music education and moral education policy in China. Due to the social environment, education system, and people’s ideologies, the current state of music education in China is comparatively underdeveloped, and the quality of national music education is low. Therefore, it is vital to realize the importance of aesthetic education and speed up the development of music education, creating a good aesthetic education atmosphere and cultural environment in the whole society. Music education is not only an important part of school education, but also a vital content in China’s compulsory education. Music teaching can not only improve students’ aesthetic ability, but also cultivate students’ moral sentiments and values. Under the background of all-round education, music education has become an important part of education in schools. At present, China is in a period of social transformation, and the diversification of ideology poses new challenges to people. Music education plays an important role in improving students’ aesthetic ability and cultivating good moral character.
