摘要

The photoionization spectra of sulfur atoms in transitions from state \( ^1\!S\) were recorded with synchrotron radiation (NSRRC, TLS BL21B2 beamline U9CGM) at resolution of up to 3 cm \(^{-1}\) in the region of 73400–85300 cm \(^{-1}\) . The photolysis of carbonyl sulfide (OCS) after 157 nm was used to produced the singlet ( \( ^1\!S\) ) sulfur atoms that were then excited the neutral superexcited states with synchrotron radiation. Rydberg series \(3s^{2}3p^{3}(^2\!P_0)\textit{n}s\) \( ^1\!P\)  and \(3s^{2}3p^{3}(^2\!P_0)\textit{n}d\) \( ^1\!P\) with n from 5–14 for the former and 3–12 for the latter are assigned.
