Explore the Origin of SSB from Adaptive Perturbation Method

This paper is a review of arXiv: 2205.00414. The spontaneous symmetry breaking is crucial for inducing a non-trivial vacuum. We focus on the (3+1)d \(\phi ^4\) theory to explore the origin. The study needs efficient analysis in the strong-coupling regime. We quantize the interacting scalar field, which introduces a renormalized mass. This approach is equivalent to resuming the Feynman diagrams. The perturbation method matches the lattice solutions in the strongly coupled regime. We show the phase boundary and analyze the transition from the RG flow. This result suggests that the \(\phi ^4\) theory alone does not experience SSB. Hence we expect that introducing other matters is necessary.
