Scalar Field Visualization for Glioma Diagnosis Based on PET-MRI
摘要
Gliomas are the most common primary tumors of the central nervous system and can cause severe neurological symptoms. Early detection and treatment of gliomas are therefore critical to improving patient survival. This paper proposes a PET-MRI-based method for visualizing the contour information of brain images. First, the nonlinear mapping from function to height field is used to enhance the local features of PET brain images. Then the visualized image results are improved by adding ridges and shaping strategies. It is combined with the MRI images to create the final brain contour feature-enhanced visualization image. This method is straightforward to use and effective in preserving the information of the two modality images while increasing the stereoscopic and depth sense of the brain image contours, highlighting more information about the glioma and assisting neurosurgeons in diagnosis.
