A Lightweight Multi-mapping Image Encryption Algorithm for Networked Visual Control Systems

摘要

Networked visual control systems (NVCSs) can run stably based on the authentic and real-time images, but these images are easily vulnerable to cyber attacks during transmission. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a lightweight multi-mapping image encryption algorithm for NVCSs. First, a nearest neighbor interpolation is used to scale the image, and a region of interest (ROI) is employed to crop the image, which will reduce the amount of image data to satisfy real-time requirement. Second, a hybrid chaotic map based on Logistic and Tent functions is proposed to diffuse image pixels, and an improved Fisher-Yates shuffling is used to scramble image pixels, which makes the attackers harder crack the image to enhance image security. Finally, experimental results confirm the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
