The emergence of deep-sea ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles) is crucial for marine scientific research and exploration of marine resources. The optical transmission system is an important guarantee for ROVs’ reliable and stable operation in the deep-sea environment. For the multi-service demands of the optical transmission system of the "Jellyfish" Mobile Rig Platform, a design solution of the multi-service optical transceiver with a single optical fiber was proposed, realizing the functions of underwater HD 1080P 3G-SDI video transmission, Gigabit Ethernet (GbE), and serial port data communication. Compared with the traditional Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology implemented in the multi-module combination optical transceiver, the single-module optical transceiver is more reliable and stable, and its functions are more powerful than those of the traditional ones. The sea trial suggests that the system is designed to meet the demands for underwater communication for deep-water ROVs.

摘要
