This study analyzes the attitudes and behaviors of student volunteers within the academic community, focusing on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Employing quantitative methods, including Chi-squared and t-tests, we explored how volunteer involvement correlates with academic progression and varies by gender with respect to the use of digital tools. We found that students’ expectations for post-pandemic volunteering are significantly positive, indicating a strong commitment to continuing their volunteer activities. Satisfaction with remote volunteering during the pandemic was also positively linked to the continued use of digital platforms for volunteering. These findings point out the need to enhance digital platforms to improve volunteer interaction and engagement. Future research should incorporate qualitative methods to provide deeper insights into the motivations and experiences of student volunteers.
