Analyzing Issues and Challenges of Using Prefabrication in Punjab, India

Construction efficiency is on the rise in the growing country of India, building business in Punjab is seeing rapid growth, making it one of the fastest-growing sectors. Construction businesses, vendors, and clients in Punjab continue to employ conventional construction techniques for their buildings in contrast to developed countries actively advancing innovative construction methods and technology; such as Pre-Fabrication Construction Technology (PCT). This study paper provides case study of construction site employing prefabricated strategies and interviews carried out with architects, construction firms, contractors, and vendors in order to ascertain the reasons for their reluctance to adopt prefabrication, despite its manifold advantages over conventional building methods. The research examines the factors and causes that force the construction industry in Punjab to adhere to traditional construction approaches. The objective is to aid architects and vendors in comprehending the extent of the contemporary construction sector into current construction methodologies. Furthermore, the research paper specifically examines the difficulties encountered by architects and construction companies in Punjab when implementing prefabrication construction methods. The research article's conclusion succinctly outlines the limitations and challenges, acknowledging that understanding these obstacles can facilitate the incorporation of Pre-Fabrication Construction Technology.
