  • Hideki Fukuoka

摘要

The cornea is the thin transparent tissue located directly in front of the iris and pupil of the eye, and it is the most transparent tissue in the human body. Numerous genes contribute to the attainment and maintenance of the specific properties of corneal tissue that allow vision (Kinoshita et al. 2001), and recent advances in molecular biology have led to a deeper understanding of corneal physiology and disease at the molecular level.
