Metahuristic-Based Maximum Power Point Tracking Controller for Solar System Under a Change in Partial Shading Conditions
摘要
For many years, our world facing an electricity problem concerning meeting load demand. On account of this, the Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) system plays a crucial role in the production of electricity to meet the required demand in addition, it is pollution-free. However, rapid changes in the weather conditions affect collecting the maximum power. To reduce these problems different conventional approaches are used however, these methods produce oscillation around the maximum peak power (MPP) and easily fall into local peak power (LPP). On account of these problems, in this paper, a new hybrid distance-related artificial bee colony (DRABC) is presented and developed in MATLAB/SIMULINK. To know the robustness of the proposed method it has been compared with perturb and observe (P&O) and metaheuristic-based artificial bee colony (ABC) with respect to efficiency. The proposed DRABC shows a higher efficiency of 99.50% under a change in weather conditions as compared to the other two methods.
