The potential application of virtual reality (VR) technology in the field of preschool education is enormous, especially in cultivating the artistic creativity of children. This research is based on the current status of VR technology application in education, exploring the theoretical foundation and practical pathways of using VR to enhance artistic creativity in preschool children. The study finds that VR technology aligns well with constructivist, multisensory, and gamification learning theories, providing children with open and free creative spaces, breaking the limitations of traditional classroom teaching, and promoting the development of children's imagination and creative thinking. To effectively integrate VR technology, attention needs to be paid to key aspects such as customized system design, teaching activity design close to children's reality, and data collection and analysis. At the same time, this research also identifies challenges such as inadequate hardware investment, lack of content resources, and constraints on teachers’ professional abilities. Nevertheless, with the continuous development and improvement of technology, VR will bring unprecedented opportunities and development space for the cultivation of artistic creativity in preschool children.
