Techno-Economic Analysis of On-Grid PV System for EV Loads

Renewable energy production has become possible because of the depletion of fossil fuels and rising environmental awareness. Additionally, the rising demand for oil and carbon emissions has greatly expanded the global market for electric vehicles (EVs), which have led to a boom in the EV industry. Here, a photovoltaic grid (PV-Grid) for EV loads is employed to calculate the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) and Net Present Cost (NPC). HOMER Pro software has been used to carry out many simulations and optimization to find the most trustworthy and financially viable system among those chosen by renewable sources. A PV-Grid renewable energy system is designed for the EV load of 246 kWh/ day and 36 kW peak demand. The primary aim of this study is to find an optimum system suitable for the community. PV-Grid system is having total NPC of $359,091.60, and LCOE ($/kWh) of $0.3094. The result shows that this PV-Grid system is optimum for the EV load at a community in Kurukshetra, Haryana.
