Wastes generated from the health care centres are considered healthcare wastes (HCWs), which must be properly disposed of, as they may cause harmful effects to the environment and human health. The process of choosing a location for HCW disposal (HCWD) is rather complicated since there are a lot of factors to consider, including social, environmental, economic, etc., and strict government laws regarding HCWD too. Proper HCWD location (HCWDL) selection is required for dumping the HCWs, which can reduce the pollution as well as protect the environment. The present study aims to conduct a case study on identifying the best location for HCWD in Tripura, India under q-rung orthopair fuzzy environment (q-ROFE), using the concept of multi-criteria group decision making (MCGDM) considering the socio-economic condition of Tripura. To aggregate various decision-makers’ (DMs) assessments, q-ROF weighted geometric operator (q-ROFWGO) has been used. The notions of Methods based on the Removal Effects of Criteria (MEREC) and Combined Compromise Solution (CoCoSo) have been redefined under q-ROFE with the aid of q-ROFWGO and integrated to identify the best HCWDL. To overcome the limitations of existing q-ROF score function (q-ROFSF), an improved q-ROFSF has been proposed, which can successfully rank q-ROF numbers (q-ROFNs). To validate the uniformity and dependability of the proposed integrated technique (PIT), comparisons are executed. The PIT has identified the “Biomedical waste treatment plant, Mohanpur” as the optimal location.

摘要
