Oil and Gas in the Caspian Sea and International Law
摘要
The Caspian region is considered to contain as the last bonanza, the largest undeveloped oil and gas reserves in the world . In this paper, which covers developments until the end of the year 2000, the author would like to consider the following three important legal questions relating to oil and gas in the Caspian Sea very briefly, namely, the legal status of the Caspian Sea, the unilateral developments of oil and gas pending determination of the legal status of the Caspian Sea and the transport of Caspian oil and gas by pipelines and the Energy Charter Treaty.
