This paper analyzes the performance of a PV system under different irradiance using a fuzzy logic controller and P&O algorithm. The PV system is established by using a converter and a maximum power point (MPPT)-based controller. PV array shows no linear VI curve voltage–current character-tracking characteristic feature and shows contrasting results under different irradiances. The boost converter increases the voltage to operate at the MPPT. The fuzzy logic and P&O controller has the capability to control nonlinear irregularity and obtain the appropriate result. In this paper, a comparative performance analysis is done based on fuzzy logic and P&O controller under island mode for the specified resistive load range in order to achieve a better response. The performance analysis is verified in MATLAB/Simulink environment.

摘要
