Sadhu Binning is a Sikh-Canadian author known for his significant contributions to Punjabi literature, particularly in the context of the Sikh diaspora in Canada. He is a bilingual writer who writes in Punjabi and English. He was born in Punjab in Chiheru, India, in 1947 and immigrated to Canada in 1967. He has published over 15 books, including 1 novel, 2 short stories, and 4 poetry collections. He edited a literary monthly, Watno Dur, from 1977 to 1982 and currently co-edits Watan, a Punjabi quarterly. Sadhu is the founding member of the Vancouver Sath, a theatre collective (1983), Ankur, and various other literary and cultural organizations.
