Ahluwalia, Pal (1959–)

Pal Ahluwalia is a Sikh Kenyan academic renowned for his extensive contributions to poststructuralism, Foucauldian theory, colonialism, postcolonialism, and the politics of the South African continent. He was born in Nairobi, Kenya, and educated at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada and Flinders University in Australia. After his education, he joined the University of Adelaide as a professor of politics. He then became the Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of South Australia. In 2014, he was appointed Pro-Vice-Chancellor at the University of Portsmouth. Four years later, in 2018, he was appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University of South Pacific.
