Born in Mumbai, India, and currently the Anne F. Rothenberg Professor of English and American Literature and Language at Harvard University, Homi Kharshedji Bhabha is one of the most prominent thought leaders in postcolonial and diasporic studies. Bhabha’s theories on hybrid identities and cultural translation have proved instrumental in providing an important framework for understanding the complex ways in which diasporic populations traverse the postcolonial world and how diverse cultures interact and intersect in a globalized world.
