Namrata Patel was born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in India. She immigrated with her parents to Boston, MA, when she was eight. Her father was in fabric sales, and her mother was a schoolteacher and vice-principal in Gujarat, India. Patel grew up and was educated in New Jersey, USA; throughout her school and college there, she did theater. She has a major in Marketing Communications and has been in the publishing industry for over two decades. When she was left on her own during the pandemic, she started writing novels. Since she has traveled widely, glimpses of the many places she visited can be seen in her works. Currently, she lives in Boston, Massachusetts.
