Eyelid, Conjunctival, and Corneal Conditions Associated with Ocular Surface Disorders
摘要
This chapter serves as an essential guide to diagnosing and managing a spectrum of eyelid, conjunctival, and corneal conditions that contribute to ocular surface disorders. It starts by addressing various images on ocular surface squamous neoplasia, articulating its etiology and impact on ocular health, followed by images on Stevens-Johnson syndrome, Tenon’s patch graft, corneal scar, vernal keratoconjunctivitis, pterygium, and pyogenic granuloma. The chapter provides pictorial insights into various conjunctival diseases including superior limbic keratoconjunctivitis, band-shaped keratopathy, corneal perforation, and chemical injury highlighting their clinical features and management. It then transitions to the critical evaluation of surface disorders of the cornea, detailing conditions such as neurotrophic keratopathy, which compromise corneal integrity. The atlas presents pictorial depiction of dellen, emphasizing their pathogenesis and treatment options. Finally, it concludes with an exploration of limbal stem cell deficiency, underscoring the importance of limbal health in maintaining corneal clarity. This chapter integrates high-quality images with up-to-date research, providing a visual and educational resource for ocular surface disorder management.
