Diagnosis and Management of Immune-Related Disorders of the Cornea and External Eye
摘要
This chapter offers a visual guide to recognizing and treating immune-mediated ocular conditions. It begins with the eyelid disorders like contact dermatoblepharitis and atopic dermatitis, illustrated through clinical photographs that emphasize the characteristic signs. The atlas then navigates through conjunctival disorders, with images of seasonal and perennial allergic conjunctivitis, vernal and atopic keratoconjunctivitis, and the rarer ligneous conjunctivitis. Severe conditions like Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis are depicted to aid in swift recognition and management. Mucous membrane pemphigoid and ocular graft-vs-host disease are also presented through detailed images. Corneal diseases such as Thygeson superficial punctate keratitis, interstitial keratitis, and Mooren ulcer are visually explored. Lastly, disorders of the episclera and sclera, including episcleritis and scleritis, are examined. This atlas serves as a critical resource for clinicians to diagnose these complex conditions and offers a reference for the varied presentations of immune-related ocular diseases.
