Constitutional Guarantees for Children in the People’s Republic of China
摘要
This chapter interprets the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China of the provisions on the protection of the rights and interests of children. As a statutory country, China’s constitution is the fundamental law with the highest effect. The law actively implements the spirit of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child with the idea of the supreme law. It provides constitutional guarantees and guidance for other specialized laws for the protection of children, laying down the basic concept of the rule of law for child protection in line with China’s national conditions. The chapter briefly describes the evolution and direct regulation of the protection of children’s rights and interests in the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China.
