Research on Early Warning and Emergency Response for the Langshan Drinking Water Source in the Yangtze River

摘要

A two-dimensional hydrodynamic-water quality model for the Cheng-Tong reach of the Yangtze River was established using Delft3D software. The study investigated the early warning response times of the water quality monitoring stations upstream and downstream of the Langshan water source in the event of sudden water pollution incidents. The calculation and analysis results indicate that the pollutant concentrations monitored by the two early warning stations are highly correlated with the concentrations at the water intake, and they can provide more than two hours of early warning time. Implementing a tiered early warning system can offer a more robust safeguard for the protection of drinking water sources.
