Regional Anatomy of the Retroperitoneal Space and Its Clinical Application
摘要
The retroperitoneal space is an anatomical space between the parietal peritoneum of the posterior abdominal wall and intra-abdominal fascia. It extends superiorly to the diaphragm and connects the posterior mediastinum through the lumbocostal triangles, runs inferiorly to the sacral promontory and continues with the retroperitoneal space of the pelvis, and laterally communicates with extraperitoneal areolar tissues of the anterolateral abdominal wall.
