This work examines how Asian countries have embraced One Health principles through education, policy initiatives, and collaborative programs, while also highlighting persistent barriers such as fragmented surveillance systems, limited cross-sectoral coordination, and inadequate funding mechanisms. These obstacles continue to challenge timely detection and response to zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and other emerging threats at the human–animal–environment interface, underscoring the urgency of integrated, multisectoral strategies. Case studies from several countries illustrate both achievements and ongoing challenges in translating One Health concepts into actionable solutions. They highlight the critical roles of academic institutions, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and regional networks in building capacity, fostering community engagement, and shaping evidence-based policies. Through these experiences, this chapter demonstrates the transformative potential of coordinated efforts across disciplines, sectors, and borders, emphasizing the need for strengthened institutional frameworks, enhanced data sharing, and sustained collaboration.

摘要
