摘要

In the present work ZA-27 composites with weight fractions of 1.5 wt.%, 3.0 wt.%, 4.5 wt.%, and 6.0 wt.% of ceramic zircon flour (ZrSiO4) particles and 3wt. % Molybdenum di sulfide (MoS2) lubricant particles were prepared by Stir casting. We discovered the morphological structure, density, and void fraction of ZA-27/ZrSiO4/MoS2 composites. The effect of zircon flour particles and MoS2 as reinforcement, as well as the fabrication technique, are being investigated. The use of MoS2 as dry lubricant minimizes the use of external lubricant for reducing friction there by reducing cost and improving sustainability. SEM/EDAX was used to determine the distribution of reinforcement particles and chemical composition in ZA-27 composites. This paper addresses the importance of effect of morphology, reinforcement and porosity on coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of the ZA-27 hybrid composites evaluated using a standard dilatometer device followed by Finite element simulation and Rule of mixture.
