Research on Hydraulic Propulsion Rotary Wire-Line Coring Drilling Technology for Deep-Sea Hard Formations and Its Application Prospects
摘要
With the rapid development of China’s national economy and the implementation of the national maritime power strategy, China is vigorously making preparations for and carrying out an ocean drilling program that is independently led by the country, Research will be conducted on lithospheric structure and geodynamics, the Moho, palaeo-oceanography, palaeoclimate, palaeontology, submarine volcanic eruptions, earthquake early warning, and global climate change, among other areas, The key to these lies in obtaining physical samples from the deep Earth through drilling. Currently, China’s research on deep-sea drilling and coring technology has gradually deepened, Mature coring tools have been developed for marine sediment layers, soft-hard interbedded strata and other types of formations. However, regarding submarine hard rock formations, China still lacks substantial experience in the engineering implementation of deep-sea hard rock coring, the prominence of technical bottlenecks. To address this challenge, the hydraulic propulsion rotary wireline coring drilling technology has been conquered, driven by high-pressure mud inside the drill pipe, the high-speed screw drives the core sampler mechanism to rotate for coring drilling, and the applicability and reliability of the coring drilling tool have been verified through actual drilling tests. The research results provide a new approach to solving the problems of low core recovery rate and low efficiency in drilling complex deep-sea hard rock formations, it is expected to help scientists realize the dream of “drilling through the crust and accessing the deep Earth”, it plays a positive role in promoting China’s deep-sea scientific research and exploration undertakings.
