摘要

Drilling riser is the key equipment for offshore deepwater drilling, however, the convention riser system only monitors the inclination angle of the bottom flexible joint, which induces it difficult to obtain the real dynamic response of the riser tally in every position. In this paper, a real-time prediction method for the dynamic response of deepwater drilling riser system based on monitor data twin technology is proposed, which uses the rotation angle of the upper flexible joint and the monitoring data of drilling vessel heave, sway and heave to predict the dynamic response state of deepwater drilling riser system online. Compare with the convention riser single factor safety monitoring method, the new deepwater drilling riser system state prediction method realizes the dynamic response prediction of the overall state and any position of the riser. It is helpful to improve the field operator’s understanding of the overall state of the riser, and to ensure the safety of the whole riser system and all key components.
