Evaluation and Staging of Endometrial Cancer
摘要
Endometrial cancer originates from the lining epithelium of the uterus. It is also called uterine corpus cancer or cancer of the corpus uterus. With the advent of a proper understanding of tumor biology now we can classify endometrial carcinoma into distinct histological subtypes and molecular phenotypes. According to GLOBOCAN 2022, there were 4,20,368 cases and 97,723 deaths due to endometrial cancer. Unlike other gynecological cancers, most individuals with uterine cancer experience symptoms and present with post-menopausal bleeding, which leads to an early diagnosis and better prognosis. This chapter describes, in brief presentation, evaluation, molecular classification, and staging in endometrial cancers.
