摘要

This paper presents an OpenRank-based approach for evaluating contributions in open source projects, addressing the challenge of quantifying student participation. Using the “Open Source Software Design and Development” course as a case study, the method evaluates student contributions across key open source practices, including discussions, problem-solving, and coding. Built on developer collaboration networks, the OpenRank algorithm provides a comprehensive assessment of student performance. Experimental results indicate that OpenRank aligns with traditional grading methods while offering a more holistic evaluation of contributions. By integrating OpenRank with conventional grading systems, this approach delivers a more scientific and thorough assessment of student contributions and skills in open source projects.
