Leveraging Network and Content Features for Open Source Software Value Assessment
摘要
As open source software (OSS) gains prominence in the tech ecosystem, assessing its value and that of commercial OSS companies is vital for innovation and industry growth. Despite its importance, accurately evaluating OSS remains complex. This study employs an asset pricing comparison method from finance, analyzing the value indicators of similar projects to approximate the value of target projects. Key factors representing OSS value include development activity, quality, and potential influence, represented by collaborative network features and repository text features.
