Platelet-Rich Plasma for Periorbital Rejuvenation

Periocular skin due to its special structure is more susceptible to side effects caused by various rejuvenation methods. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a novel regenerative therapy that is a safe treatment for periocular rejuvenation; for improvement in periocular hyperpigmentation (POH), Crow’s feet and photoaging signs. It is especially a suitable treatment modality for those who have darker skin complexion and show serious adverse reactions to other treatment modalities. Adding PRP to other treatment modalities can augment treatment efficacy and lead to more prolonged efficacy.
