Radiofrequency for Periorbital Rejuvenation
摘要
Radiofrequency (RF) therapy is a noninvasive treatment that uses electromagnetic waves to generate controlled heat within the skin, depending on the resistance of different tissue layers. This thermal effect stimulates immediate collagen contraction and production, enhances skin elasticity, and leads to tissue tightening, making RF an effective method for rejuvenation. The periorbital area is prone to show early signs of aging, such as fine lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity. RF could be a safe approach to address these concerns without surgical intervention. This chapter provides an overview of RF therapy for periorbital rejuvenation, highlighting its advantages, clinical indications, preparation steps, procedural techniques, potential complications, post-treatment care, and considerations for home use of RF devices. As with all aesthetic procedures, careful patient selection, proper technique, and adherence to aftercare are key to achieving the optimal outcomes.
