摘要

A vibrant field that combines competitive athletics, immersive digital experiences, and high-speed aerial robotics is drone sports, especially First Person View (FPV) drone racing. This paper provides a thorough review of drone sports, emphasizing its development from a grassroots sport to a regulated international sport overseen by well established organization like MultiGP and the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI). Standardized race forms, drone classes, safety frameworks, and skill-based progression mechanisms are important elements. The assessment also looks at the ongoing difficulties that organizers, instructors, and pilots face, such as the high learning curve, financial constraints, logistical difficulties, and gaps in inclusivity. The article also describes how new players can get started in the sport by participating in local leagues, practicing using microdrones, and receiving simulator-based training. The aim of this paper is to facilitate readers, hobbyist, sports ethusiast and wider engagement within the expanding drone sports ecosystem by combining technology underpinnings, and instructional opportunities.
