High Performance Sports Coaching Competency: A Case Study of Malaysia Rugby Union National Coach 2022

Latest qualitative study examined rugby competency model created thru sports coaching experience in Malaysia. The reason for the research is to provide an in-depth perception on knowledge sharing by national rugby coaches by embrace on the field problematics. Understanding on real life training developing to paper coaching research role of coaching education program and accreditation. To achieve this, this composition emphasis on six Malaysian national rugby union coaches that managing the national team on 7’s and 15′ aside. Five elements distinguish viewpoint arise from this research: accreditation, experience, achievement, philosophy and style and planning. Indication from interview stated that this five- core element needed to ensure coaching competency during training process. The element emerges from the coaching perspective such as coaching learning stage, environment and peers’ idea sharing. Additionally, six variety of issue discover: understanding on coaching competency, implementation on coaching competency, athletes’ adaptation, athletes’ data collection, sports psychology understanding and training facility with latest technology equipment.
