摘要

This study examines the effects of plyometric training on the jump height of netball athletes at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The study method is experimental with a pre and post approach involving vertical jump tests. Eleven netball athletes from the UTM team were selected to participate in this study. Each athlete will undergo a vertical jump test as a pre-test to assess their first jump height. This training program is carried out three times a week for three weeks. To find out the extent of the effect of plyometric training on jump height, the vertical jump test will be carried out again after the training session in the last week. Where athletes will be given two attempts to jump and the best jump value will be taken. The data obtained are analyzed using ANOVA tests through the Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS). The results of the study found that there was a significant difference in jump height for each athlete (p < 0.05) after undergoing plyometric training. Overall, this study found that plyometric training has a significant effect and difference in jump height for UTM netball athletes.
