摘要
By analyzing the connections between environmental systems and human activity, the book Sustainable Development in Water Scarcity Area of Semi-arid Region aimed to provide readers with a comprehensive perception of water scarcity in semi-arid regions. It seeks to draw attention to the problems of unequal distribution of water, divergent needs, and inadequate management while investigating long-term solutions using ecosystem-based methods, conservation and efficiency techniques, and Integrated Water Resource Management. Along with measures for climate resilience and adjustment, this book also aims to highlight how technological advancements like Remote Sensing and GIS, and Machine Learning may enhance governance of water. This chapter displays an updated assessment of current advances in the field and puts together the prime findings from all the chapters of the book. In the end, it aims to provide an inclusive structure that links socio-economic and environmental perspectives to ensure acceptable and sustainable water management in semi-arid areas.
