The Future of Probiotic Therapy
摘要
The management of Helicobacter pylori infection remains a formidable global health challenge. Despite remarkable advances in antimicrobial therapy, the persistent prevalence of this pathogen underscores the limitations of current treatment strategies. Standard eradication regimens—typically involving combinations of antibiotics and proton pump inhibitors—were once highly effective. However, the rise of antibiotic resistance, treatment-related adverse effects, and difficulties with patient adherence have significantly reduced their success rates in many regions of the world [1]. These obstacles highlight the urgent need for alternative or adjunctive therapeutic approaches that are both effective and sustainable.
