Research on the Innovative Approaches for Empowering the Inheritance and Development of Intangible Cultural Heritage by Smart Digital Restoration Technology

China is currently in the digital age characterized by the rapid advancement of information technology. Exploring how to empower the entire life cycle of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) inheritance through technology and conducting research on intelligent and digital restoration is of paramount significance. This study elaborates the relevant theoretical underpinnings and analyzes the technical approaches of digital technology in each stage of ICH protection. By employing literature research and analysis along with interdisciplinary research methods, the intelligent and digital restoration research focusing on the entire life cycle of ICH inheritance is carried out. At present, the development of digital technology both domestically and internationally offers new opportunities for the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. The theoretical foundation and practical paths of technology-enabled ICH inheritance throughout the entire life cycle require analysis through the application of technology and the exploration of a full-stage model for the innovative development of ICH protection and inheritance. Based on the above research, the core objectives, key tasks, and technical requirements of the full-stage model are summarized, and the future development trends and challenges are presented, providing comprehensive solutions and approaches for the intelligent and digital restoration research on the entire life cycle of ICH inheritance.
